Vintage Guitar magazine praised the Budda Verbmaster for its versatility and 12AT7 tube-driven reverb in its October 2012 issue.
 
"Both [reverb] settings let the notes take precedence over the effect, as opposed to the effect swallowing the notes," wrote Tom Guerra. "It’s a nice level of effect that will work well for stage or studio."

Guerra also cranked a variety of guitars through this 18-watt amplifier's dual inputs, and tested the sonic possibilities of its external speaker output, multiple gain stages, onboard EQ and much more.
