Hey Budda heads, I'm finishing up the Exxies record at Hook Studios in sunny La! The Superdrive 80 head was the star of the show running through 2 mid 60Ős Marshall cabs. One was loaded with Celestion 25Ős and the other with 30Ős. The 25Ős matched up nicely with a PRS with P-90Ős, set the master at 9 and the tone was huge with tons of punch and cone cry. The 30Ős faired better with more front end juice and the master backed off to 5 or 6. Nailed great tones with a custom Strat with PAFŐs and an Ernie Ball Axis with P-90Ős. For a more modern tone, the 30Ős are tight with virtually no breakup. Pick your favorite and let it fly! I got mine, the 80 and 25Ős are my new desert island rig! See ya on the road or in the studio! There is one word to describe the tone of our baby 6l6 clone. BUTTA! Sounds like butta', melts like butta' in your hands without the grease of polyunsaturated preamp tweeze! Big bottle glass kicks ya in the ass and makes for better playing, for without the juice your hands are loose and your ears are left a preying... for more bottom knowi'msayinŐ? And bottom is what the Superdrive Series II 6l6Ős amps are about. The Phat bottle sugar ray upside the head punch is delivered from the power section of these two beasts. There's a flex you get out of 5881Ős that musters up tones of the early JTM lifestyle with a twist of the Budda wrist. Roll it up on your fiddle and the mighty roar of the Superdrive power section will crush you with a PAF and a 4x12. Big boxes are what these amps love to move sound with. Preferably our 1210 or 4x12 loaded with our Phat 12 or optional Celestion Vintage 25Ős. If clarity is your game and the search for tonal perfection is the same, then put your ears on the Superdrive Series big bottle amps. We push these 5881Ős to the ultimate brink of destruction to create a chaotic mix of harmonic richness not found in any other amp. Take it from players and tone fanatics like Art Thompson at Guitar Player Magazine and Bibi Mcgill from Pink. (who consequently plays open hand better then most of the fellas out there I know) The Superdrive Series II amps are the tone for the future. So why a 45? Chances are you havenŐt heard an 80 due to our limited distribution through retail stores. But for those who have, it is a life changing experience of zenful bliss and an ear shattering kiss. This amp has the mid punch that will hang with your drummers kick ,to lay down the basics you need for recording and live performance. Lowering the wattage allows us to work the power section a little harder and give you more flex in your attack time. To fine tune your bone tone we put in a switchable solid state and tube rectifier circuit. Dig in hard for quick attack times with the solid state rectifier and grab the sag with the tube side. Plenty of soulful and complexi like tones for those players into the awesome early JTM 45Ő sound. Think of this amp as the crazy uncle in your family, the one who took you on your first Harley ride at 11 and youŐll get a sense of the Superdrive vibe. The word at Namm was this amp is an all out grand slam. We are taking orders for spring delivery so make way to your dealer for a demo and or, contact us direct if you donŐt have a stocking store in your city. Scot & Jeff - Buddaguys |
