Hey Budda fans, I'm checking in from rehearsals for Melisma recording artist, Color. We have guitarist, Dean Truiit, firing up two Superdrive 30 heads through 2 Budda 4x12's! Amazing player, amazing tone! Here's his killer stereo set-up:
1. Guitar into stereo chorus Set the delay pedal to 100% wet and the delay time to a short slapback. Raise the delay time and take a listen. You will hear the amps widen and create a huge stereo field Malcolm Young would be proud of! With a couple of Super heads you'll be dialing up more "brown" then...well, you know who!
See ya' on the road or in the studio! |

Now that we have a new President we can get back to the business of making good tone. And to commemorate the new President Elect, we will kick off the year with our brand spankin' new Superchad 18! Available through Florida mail order only. Har! What happened to power to the people? Makes you want to pack up your fiddle and move to Bali... We have begun our first production run of 18's and they are sporting the new Budda look for the up coming year. We changed cabinet aesthetics by eliminating the bottom trim ring on the combos. Makes for a cleaner look, easier build and a more dynamic response. The guts of the Superdrive 18 are in hand wire mode for the first 100 production models. After that we will be assembling them on a PC board for quicker lead times and accuracy. Prototypes so far have offered a clean and transparent tone reference. So rest assured, we will not squander tone to save a few bones! Purists may grumble, but the tone will keep 'em humble. The Super 18 is a soulful amp that challenges the contenders to an all out tone battle for the ultimate organic lead tone. The natural compression of the 84's after an hour's worth of warm up time will have you creaming your Mackie inputs with a tone splurge that sticks to tape better then flies on a no pest strip. Phat! Throw a 57 or better yet, an old Beyer M201 on the cloth and you will have some ear candy that'll make you froth. The finger and pick attack response from the Superdrive 18 is due to a fine tuned circuit that enhances the performance of the Phat 12 and dovetailed pine box. There is some serious mojo going on there, I think I heard the ghost of Hendrix speaking through that little tone hombre. Plexilicous! To sum it up, the Superdrive 18 is an amp that will earn the respect of the recording artist and player looking to upgrade their sound for some fresh new tones! Tired of the same ol' one dimensional sound of your rig? Then check it out, visit Harmony Central, and the other dot commander review sites and read what players are saying about Budda. Our dedication to creating some of the finest tone on the planet and servicing our customers is what Budda is about! Happy New Year. |
